Inspired by the dream of bringing a science laboratory to Chiroti High School in rural Zimbabwe, this limited-edition silk scarf represents the belief that where a child is born should never determine the size of their dreams.
The Story Behind the Scarf
Dr. Tererai Trent grew up in rural Zimbabwe where girls were often denied an education. Despite enormous adversity, she pursued her dream of learning, eventually earning a PhD and becoming one of the world’s leading advocates for girls’ education. Oprah Winfrey has described her as her “all-time favourite guest.”
Today, through Tererai Trent International, she works to expand access to quality education and empower rural communities through the construction of schools and educational infrastructure.
The next chapter of that story is helping build a dedicated Science Laboratory for Chiroti High School, creating opportunities for young people to discover, experiment, and dream bigger.
